Berlin 4 May, 2006 – Contracted by and in collaboration with WITO (Economic and Tourism Development Inc.) from Barnim, Brandenburg, Espresto AG develops an innovative GPS-Navigation Solution for hiking and excursions supported by a new database. The challenge is to work out a combination of user-friendly navigation and communication, which enables the planing of individual hiking routes via Internet or spontanous decisions on the spot via mobile phone.
A pre-installation of a software is not needed. The required software easily comes with the download. Maps and information are transmitted and always up to date using this Offboard-Solution.
Now every walkable hiking track is made available with this technology. Considering limited memory and display size of mobile phones, specifically prepared maps and information guarantee optimal information on a small device.
The result is a never before seen Route Map for hikers and excursionists with a personalized Route Planner. Only using your mobile phone you manage a customized map, which suits your own personal interests. According to your criteria, current information from Hotel Guides to

- Bus and Train Schedules
- Weather Forecast
- Emergency Contacts
are displayed on your own mobile phone.
